This field records whether the student has any dependants
Notes

This data must be returned for all students in coverage at the start of their Engagement i.e. by the end of the reference period in which their first associated StudentCourseSession begins. If the data is not known by the provider 99 'Not available' must be returned.

This information is required to be updated throughout a students Engagement where applicable.In codes 01 and 04, 'Young people/children' refers to young people aged 17 and under financially or otherwise dependent on the student.

The Carers Trust define a carer as: 'anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member, who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support'.
