Description
This field records the specific accreditation type applicable to the Course.
Notes

This field should be returned if Courses are accredited, recognised or endorsed by one of the Statutory or Regulatory bodies for architecture, teaching, health or social care listed below. This includes Courses that lead to initial registration, support enhanced registration, or have been recognised by the regulatory body.

Health and social care Courses in England

Valid entry 11108 can only be used by providers in England where students specialise part way through a Course. Once students specialise, the more specific accreditation must be returned in StudentAccreditationAim.

This only applies to Courses where student specialise part way through their Course. If all students studying a course are aiming for a more specific accreditation rather than specialising later on, the more specific accreditation must be returned in this field and valid entry 11108 must not be used.

Providers in England should not use valid entries 05802 or 06920. These record generic accreditations by the General Dental Council (GDC) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) respectively.

Codes 05803-05809, 06901-06919, 06950 and 11102-11107 should be used by providers in Northern Ireland.

Providers in Scotland are encouraged to use the more granular valid entries for the General Dental Council (GDC) (05803-05809) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (06901-016919) rather than the generic codes.

Codes 11102-11107 and 11109 should be used by providers in Scotland to cover the granular functions of the Nursing & Midwifery Council. Generic code 11108 'The Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)' should not be used.
