All EntryProfiles entities where EntryProfile.PERMADDCOUNTRY= XF, XG, XH, XI, XK, XL, GG, JE or IM and StudentCourseSession.INTERCALATION is not equal to 01 and Qualification.QUALCAT = M0002, H0003, H0004, H0005, I0001, I0007, J0000, J0001, J0002, J0003, C0000 or C0001 except where Engagement.INCOMINGEXCHANGE exists or (Leaver.ENGENDDATE - Engagement.ENGSTARTDATE <= 14 days and RSNENGEND = 03, 05, 11, 12) or (CourseInitiative.COURSEINITID = 027 or StudentInitiative.STUINITID = 027 or 030).

Not required for students on non-designated courses at providers with teach out or limited designation.

This data is required on entry to the student's Engagement and should be returned to reflect the position when the first StudentCourseSession associated with the Engagement begins.

For students entering through UCAS this information will be available from UCAS via the *J transaction, however the legacy codes from 2021/22 will be supplied instead and there is no direct mapping to the 2022/23 codes. Providers are expected to survey students against the new coding frames each year. The details of the coding that will be provided by UCAS can be found in the *J specification.

In the majority of cases, a UKPRN will be returned. Where the student has not entered through UCAS, the identifier for the previous provider entered in this field may be obtained from the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP). Where a UKPRN cannot be obtained, providers may use the generic codes below.

9999 'Not available' is returned where the provider does not know the information.
