Short Name | RPSTULOAD |
Parent Entity | |
Type | Field |
Applicable To | England Northern Ireland Wales |
Coverage | All ReferencePeriodStudentLoad entities |
Description | This records the full-time equivalence that is applicable to the relevant reference period |
Notes | The FTE value returned should only relate to the relevant year and reference period indicated in ReferencePeriodStudentLoad.YEAR and ReferencePeriodStudentLoad.REFPERIOD. For students who are studying outside the UK throughout their Engagement but are returned in the Student record as they will spend more than 8 weeks in the UK during their Engagement (PRINONUK = 01) RPSTULOAD must reflect only that part of the course undertaken in the UK. Accelerated courses Accelerated provision should be reflected in a higher ReferencePeriodStudentLoad rather than additional StudentCourseSessions. For example, a course which is delivered over 2 years instead of the usual 3 years would be captured within 2 StudentCourseSessions, each with a higher RPSTULOAD to reflect the greater intensity of the provision, rather than 3 StudentCourseSessions condensed into 2 academic years, each with a regular RPSTULOAD. The Open University is required to report this field for the Scottish part. For further guidance please see the Full Time Equivalence guidance document. |
Reason Required | To record the full-time equivalence for students against each reference period that covers their student course session. |
