Description
This field records if the student is distance learning and whether they are inside or outside the UK.
Notes

Where the student is studying by distance learning as part of the associated StudentCourseSession, this field is returned to record this with 01 or 02 being returned to indicate respectively that the student is distance learning inside or outside the UK.

Codes 01 and 02 should be used for students of the reporting institution who are not in attendance for the whole of the StudentCourseSession, with the possible exception of occasional attendance, such as examinations or summer schools. The submission requirements for distance learners are the same as those for other students who are based at the reporting institution.

For the purpose of this field, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man are considered outside the UK.

Where this field exists, the StudyLocation.VENUEID is not required to be returned as the student is not at a Venue.
